Jerry Oscar Stulce, QM3, of Show Low, Arizona, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center in Show Low. He was 80. Jerry was born September 25, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Donie and Sylvia (Ritter) Stulce. Jerry was a veteran of the US Navy serving during the Korean Conflict. He served as a submarine sailor who manned the ships to sea. He even earned a spot as an extra in a movie being made about submarines. A jack-of-all-trades, Jerry was a certified electrician who wired his own home. He loved to tell stories and had a great sense of humor. He always looked for the funny in things and taught his family to do so as well. On Valentines Day 1979 he met and fell in love with Shirley Price and they began their lives together. Jerry loved Shirley and her children so much that he considered them his own. He loved the White Mountains and all the beauty it has to offer so they made the mountain their home. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Price of Show Low; daughter, Connie Gamble of Lakeside, California; son, Mark Stulce of Salem, Oregon; son, James (Cindy)Price of Show Low; daughter, Kimberly Simpson of Sesser, Illinois; grandchildren, Dylan, Skylyn, Tyler, James, Addison, Shawn, Hannah, Dexter, Kenzie, Maggie; 6 great-grandchildren as well as many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a step-father, Virgil. A graveside service will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at the Show Low Cemetery with Military Honors rendered by the Veterans of The White Mountains.
