Elmer Lenard Burney "Burney", age 91 passed away Saturday, January 22, 2011 at this home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on January 11, 1920 in Walnut Grove, Missouri to Abner Alson and Estela Riley Burney. Burney is survived by his 3 children, Carol Short (John) of Show Low, AZ, Linda Bonsell (Wes) of Las Cruces, NM and Phillip A. Burney of California; 7 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; sister, Mildred Hurd of Missouri. He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Reta Burney. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the Bellevue Memorial Park Chapel in Ontario, California with a visitation 1 hour prior to services.
