Warren Drew Petersen

Warren Drew Petersen, age 83, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011 in Snowflake, Arizona. He was born November 1, 1927 in Clay Springs, Arizona to Theodore and Margaret Hancock Petersen. He was married to Violet Marie Ramsay on January 22, 1950 in Snowflake, Arizona. Warren served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend who loved cattle, the outdoors and logging. He worked for Southwest Forest for 40 years, retiring in 1992. He also enjoyed square dancing and fishing. Warren is survived by his 6 children: Michael Warren Petersen, Darlene Marie (Billy Lloyd) Owens, Wilford Lynn (Wendy) Petersen, Denny Ray (Jeanie) Petersen, Russell Scott (Nina) Petersen, Kenda Jo (Chris Howle) Petersen; 21 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and his sister Violet Aagard. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the Snowflake Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center. A viewing will be held at Owens Livingston Mortuary in Snowflake, Arizona on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and 1 hour prior to the funeral services on Wednesday. Burial will be at the R.V. "Mike" Ramsay Memorial Cemetery in Snowflake, Arizona under the direction of Owens Livingston Mortuary Snowflake.
