David Charles Elliston

August 8, 1954 — January 12, 2011

David Charles Elliston passed away surrounded by his loving family January 12, 2011 in Holbrook, Arizona after a brave battle with Cancer. He was born August 8, 1954 in Flagler, Colorado, to James and Nancy Elliston. He lived and worked in Holbrook for the last 38 years, most of which he was employed by APS where he made many life long friends. For the past 13 years or so he spent most of his time outdoors with no shirt on, building his very special place in Adamana, Arizona. There wasn't anything he couldn't build, fix, create or construct. He was a devout father and a remarkable friend and a confidant to all. There was never any obstacle that could stand in his way and there was never anything he would not give to help anyone in need. He will be forever missed by all who knew him. David is survived by his father, James (Shirley) Elliston of Sierra Vista, Arizona; four brothers, Gary Elliston of Farmington, Missouri, Jerry Elliston of Tonopah, Nevada, Dan Elliston of Cortez, Colorado, Tim (Michelle) Elliston of Scottsdale, Arizona; a sister, Jamiee (Alan) Sykes of Middlebrook, Missouri; 2 daughters, Crystal Elliston, Lacy (Nick) Serna; grandchildren, Isaac, Marcus, Nicholas and Bella all of Holbrook; as well as a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Elliston; son, Nicholas Charles Elliston; younger brother, Dennis Patrick Elliston. Memorial services are pending at this time, anyone who would like to help please contact 241-0359. The family has requested that memorial donations may be made in David's name to the Holbrook Youth Football League 928-814-2110 or to support his favorite Girl Scout Troop #260 928-241-1974.
