Ellen Claire Wurtz

Our "Loving Angel" Ellen Claire Wurtz, of Overgaard, passed away January 1, 2011 at her home. She was 70. Ellen was born August 1, 1940 in San Rafael, California to the late Bernard and Dorothy (Collins) White. Ellen grew up in Alhambra, California where her family was in the food brokerage business. A devout Catholic, she never met a stranger. She loved everyone and was willing to do anything for them. Ellen worked hard throughout her whole life and never seemed to find time to retire. Everytime her and her husband, Lyle, would try to retire they were always asked to manage another piece of property. Her and Lyle worked hand and hand for 45 years before her passing. The best wife, mother, grandmother and friend she will be missed by all. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Lyle Wurtz of Overgaard, Arizona; son, Tracy (Tammy) Wurtz of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter, Erin (Stephen) Bradley of Wichita Falls, Texas; grandchildren, Jacob McBride, Treyjan Jones and Benjamin Bradley; sisters, Patricia (Frank) Bordenaro of Alhambra, California, Kathleen (Rev. George) Morris of Haddonfield, New Jersey; sister-in-law, Carol White of Reno, Nevada. She was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy White. Private family services are planned.
