Editha Frost Jones

Editha Frost Jones, of Vernon passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Banner Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix. She was 60 years old. Edie was born January 6, 1950 in McNary, Arizona to the late Thomas and Maxine (Gillespie) Frost. In October of 1968 she married the "Love Of Her Life", Kenneth Jones and they enjoyed 39 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in 2007. She was known as a great cook and a wonderful homemaker, who loved her children and grandchildren. Edie was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was very active in numerous callings throughout her life. She enjoyed singing and being the "Best Mom". She is survived by a son, Kenneth Tyson Jones of Vernon; daughter, Carrie Jones(Brian Raban) of Vernon; grandchildren; Alexandra Dee Jones and Braden Wesley Jones; 2 brothers, Craig (Anne) Frost and Fred (Marie) Frost both of Farmington, New Mexico; 2 sisters, Brenda (Rick) Sewell of Farmington, New Mexico and Lesa (Sean) Brazell of Fernley, Nevada as well as a sister-in-law, Marilyn (John) Golden of Farmington, New Mexico. A public visitation will be held Sunday, November 7, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel 320 N. 9th Street, Show Low. Funeral services will begin 10:00 A.M. Monday, November 8, 2010 at the Vernon Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with an additional visitation 1 hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be at the Vernon Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted at Arizona Central Credit Union Account #11007639 to help take care of final medical and funeral expences.
