Julian Hale

Julian Hale died early in the morning of Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Bannon Springs Ranch in Vernon, Arizona following a lengthy illness. He was 83 years old. Julian was born on July 7, 1927 in Springerville, Apache County, Arizona to the late Merritt and Abby (Burk) Hale. As a young man he moved to New Mexico and worked as a Park Ranger for the U.S. Forest Service throughout his life. Following his retirement, he returned to his native Arizona roots, where he has lived the last 17 years. Julian is survived by: his wife, Verlynn (Millett) Hale of Springerville, Arizona; a daughter, Twila (Louie) Medina of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; 2 sons: Paul (Bobbie) Hale of Sante Fe, New Mexico, Randy (Martha) Hale of Keller, Texas; 2 step-sons: Gary (Chris) Hale of Springerville, Arizona, Melvin (Tara) Hale of Springerville, Arizona; 3 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Private services are to be held at a later date. Memorial contributions, in Julian's name, to the Parkinsons' Disease Foundation, 710 W. 168th Street, New York City, New York, 10032 have been suggested by his family.
