Dennis Gregg, Sr. died Wednesday afternoon, October 20, 2010 at the Whiteriver Indian Hospital in Whiteriver, Arizona from complications of end-stage liver disease, with many of his family members at his bedside. He was 38 years old. Dennis was born on September 17, 1972 in Whiteriver, Navajo County, Arizona to his parents, Dallas and Lorita (Alchesay) Gregg. He lived his entire life in Whiteriver and attended Alchesay High School, while in his youth. Dennis married his life's love, Kelly Irving, and together had 3 beautiful children. Dennis worked as a logger in the logging industry for many years. He was an extremely competitive individual. It was that competitive spirit that caused him to excell in several outdoor activities including hunting and fishing, of which many said he was an expert. Dennis loved to be in the great out-of-doors. He was very proud of his Apache heritage and loved living in the White Mountains. He was gifted with cullinary skills and could out cook most anybody. Another one of Dennis' pleasures in life was participating in many cook-outs throughout his short life. Next to his wife, his greatest love was children. He enjoyed being around children and always tried to set a good and positive example for them. Dennis was concerned with and involved with his community. Wanting to have a positive outlet for the younger generation of his communities, Dennis founded a Low Rider's club on the White Mountain Apache Reservation and called it "Pleasure & Pain." There he was able to enjoy the fellowship and friendship of many. This gentle giant of a man will truly be missed by all. He is survived by: his wife, Kelly Gregg of Whiteriver, Arizona; 3 children: Dewey J. Gregg, Rochelle L. Gregg, Dennis Gregg, Jr.; parents: Dallas & Lorita Gregg; 1 sister, Denise Goseyun; 3 brother-in-laws, John Goseyun, Jason Irving and Ronnie Irving; 1 sister-in-law, Shelly Irving; grandmother, Marie Dehose Gregg; 3 uncles: Wilkie Gregg, Sr., Hershall Gregg, Sr., Wesley Alchesay; 7 aunts: Ada Bahlen, Belva Henry, Geneva Gregg, Tina Henry, Xena Cromwell, Christina March, Cassandra Skidmore; 3 nieces: Alexus Goseyun, Melanie Goseyun and Aukiah Goseyun.
