Philbert Dan Ivins, Sr., of Whiteriver, passed away Setptember 26, 2010 in Tucson, Arizona. He was 44. Philbert was born September 16, 1966 in Whiteriver, Arizona to Cecil and Myrtle (Wool) Ivins. An avid outdoorsman he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping; anything to get Philbert outdoors he was a part of. He especially enjoyed spending most of his time with his family. He loved to hunt with his hunting partners, Abraham Fall and Danny Pusher. A man of faith, he attended the Whiteriver Assembly of God Church, and was always praying. He was employed as a Millwright for FATCO for 18 years. A very generous and loving man he will be missed by all. He is survived by his wife, Dorothea Ivins of Whiteriver; sons, Devin (Crista) Ivins of Whiteriver, Philbert (Beth) Ivins, Jr. of Whiteriver, Dan (Lorencita) Ivins, Sr. of Window Rock, Scott (Erica) Lee of Cibecue, Kevin (Regina) Taylay of Olympia, WA, Eric Taylay of Whiteriver; daughter, Shaya Ivins of Whiteriver; grandchildren, Marissa, Danicio, Jason, Andre, Dan Jr., Angelo, Kyleigh, Mya, Ricky; parents, Cecil and Myrtle Ivins, Sr.; sisters, Myrna Ivins, Sharon Ivins, Wendy Ivins, Paula Ivins, Rolinda Massey, Rhonda Ivins, Rogena Tessay; brothers, Michael Ivins, Sr., Ermon Ivins, Darrell Ivins, Cecil Ivins, Leon Ivins, Gilbert Ivins; mother-in-law, Iretta Taylay; father-in-law, Avery Taylay; step-father-in-law, Ray Hume; best friend, Abraham Fall; hunting partner, Danny Pusher as well as many nieces, nephews extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Eddie Lee; grandchild, Baby Ivins; brothers, Randy Ivins and Ronnie Ivins as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents. A two night wake will be held 10:00AM Saturday, October 2, 2010 at his home, 3517 N. Powerline Rd., Whiteriver. Funeral services will be held 12:00noon Monday, October, 4, 2010 at the Whiteriver Assembly of God Church in Whiteriver. Burial will follow in the Salt Creek Cemetery in Cibecue, Arizona.
