June Benson Roberts

June Benson Roberts passed away quietly at the Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center in Show Low, Arizona where she received loving and tender care from its I.C.U. doctors and nursing staff. She was 84 years old. June was born, 1 of 6 children, on June 8, 1926 in Dell Rapids, Minnehaha County, South Dakota to the late John William and Anna Josephina (Eliason) Benson. Throughout her working life, June worked as a real estate agent and was quite successful in her chosen profession. She moved to Arizona in November of 2003 and most recently lived in Pinetop with her friends, the Hesselton Family, who cared for her daily needs. June will also be missed by her dear and special friend, Cecil. June Benson Roberts is survived by her children: Judy Irene of Libertyville, Illinois, Billie Hoover of Concho, Arizona, Steven Eugene Roberts of Overland Park, Kansas; her brother, Carl Eugene Benson of Washington State; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. Along with her husband, Billie Forest Roberts, who died in May of 2003, June was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Ingrid Nelson, Betty Moss, Lee Irby and by 1 brother, Emil Benson. Private services will be held at The National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona where she will be laid to rest with her husband, Billie Roberts.
