Fay Bryant Probst passed away on August 5th, at the age of 81, but will long be remembered for her gentle, loving kindness and good-hearted humor. She was born July 16, 1929 to Charles and Isabel Bryant, and she grew up in Pinedale, surrounded by five brothers and two sisters, four of whom survive (Lamar - Flagstaff, Jean - Montana, Lee - Snowflake, Bill - St. David). She married Harry Probst of Holbrook in 1949, and later the couple were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The two celebrated 44 years together, raising their family and living most of their adult lives in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. They were loving parents to six children, Gregory (Maggie), Charles (Marylee), Robin (Daniel), Michael, Sandra (Reed) and Douglas (Jami), all of whom survive Fay, along with thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Harry and Fay returned to Pinedale in 1990 following Harry's retirement. Harry passed away in 1994, and Fay continued living in her childhood home. She took great pleasure in simple blessings, and hers was a life of dedicated service to her family, church, and community, especially work with the PTA, as a docent at the Paine Art Center, and innumerable church callings, including being a temple worker in her later years. She had an abiding love for books, music and the beauties of nature. Visitation will be held at the Pinedale-Clay Springs Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints one hour prior to the funeral service which will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday August 14, 2010. Interment will follow in the Pinedale Cemetery.
