James Peter Scolaro died late Friday afternoon, July 2, 2010 at his summertime residence in Show Low, Arizona with his wife and daughters at his side. He was 79 years old. James was born on April 28, 1931 in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan to the late John Robert, Sr. and Angeline (Johnson) Scolaro. He has lived in Arizona since 2000. James was a self-made businessman. He developed and owned a successful R.V. dealership, The A&S R.V. Center in the Detroit, Michigan area. That same business is now managed by his second and third generations! As a post retirement hobby, James enjoyed buying and rehabilitating houses in both Show Low and Green Valley, Arizona. James was a wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by anyone who had the privilege to know him. He is survived by: his wife, Maude F. (Heine) Scolaro of Show Low and Green Valley, Arizona; 2 daughters: Nancy Raney of Venice, Florida, Sandi Andree (Larry) of Rochester Hills, Michigan; 1 brother, John Robert Scolaro, Jr. (Lois) of Foley, Alabama; his former wife, Elaine Scolaro of Sarasota, Florida; 3 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and 5 step-children. Private family services will be held later during the summer in his native state of Michigan.
