Dena M. Lupe

Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Dena M. Lupe, age 80, passed away Monday, June 21, 2010 in Cibecue, Arizona. She was born November 15, 1929 in Cibecue, Arizona to Joseph May and Julia Wallen May. Dena was a very devoted Catholic who loved her grandchildren dearly. She was a very active woman all of her life. Dena worked for the White Mountain Apache Tribe for 15 years as a cook for the elderly program. Dena is survived by her children; John Lupe, Harry Lupe, Veronica (Gordon) Leslie, Aloysius Lupe, Ida Rose (Fred) Cosey, Nathan Lupe; 20 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jerry May Sr., as well as many nieces and nephews. A wake will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, June 25, 2010 at the family residence in Cibecue. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 26 2010, at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Cibecue. Burial will be at the Open Range Cemetery.
