Matthew David Hamilton

Matthew David "Matt" Hamilton died following a brief illness on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at the Banner Heart Hospital in Mesa, Arizona. He was 25 years old. Matt was born on June 27, 1984 in Phoenix, Arizona to his father, the late James Scott Hamilton, and his mother, Patricia "Pat" (Lansing) Hamilton. He was raised in Lakeside, Arizona. Matt was working as an EMT for PMT Ambulance out of Mesa at the time of his death. He moved to Mesa to pursue a career in nursing and had been studying for, and looking forward to that specialized field in the healthcare profession. He was well-liked by his co-workers and was a hard working, determined young man. He will be greatly missed by everyone whomever had the privilege to know him. Matt is survived by: his mother, Patricia "Pat" Hamilton of Lakeside, Arizona; daughter, Demi Hamilton of Lakeside, Arizona; sister, Katelyn Hamilton of Lakeside, Arizona; brother, Beau Hamilton of Mesa, Arizona; grandmother, Dorothy Lansing of Phoenix, Arizona; his fiancee, Corrine Engelhart of Mesa, Arizona; and is also survived by many extended family members from Pinetop, Scottsdale and Phoenix. Matt was preceded in death by his father, James Scott Hamilton, in May of 1999. Everyone is warmly invited to Matt's funeral service, which will begin 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 19, 2010 at the Assembly of God Blue Ridge Christian Center, 184 W. White Mountain Boulevard in Pinetop, Arizona. The interment, however, will be private for his family only.
