Leonard Dan Kriter, of Snowflake, passed away surrounded by his loving family, Saturday, May 1, 2010 in Show Low. He was 62. Leonard was born March 13, 1948 in St. Thomas, Ontario to the late Lloyd and Beatrice (Johnson) Kriter. He was a Vietnam Veteran where he served as Chaplain for the US Army. Following his honorable discharge he served in the Army National Guard until 1988. A life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he was very active in Temple work. He served an honorable mission in Michigan and Vermont. Leonard was an accomplished machinist and welder. He loved to work on and collect Model A's. He had a love of farming and rasing Brahma Bulls. He was active in the VOAG for many years. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan of Snowflake; 7 children; 19 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; a brother, Lloyd (Diane) kriter of Snowflake; 2 sisters, Susie (Bill) Butler of Mesa and Kristen (Wiley) Ahlstom of Buckeye. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Thursday, May 6, 2010 at the Temple View Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in the Reed Hatch Memorial Cemetery in Taylor.
