Lincoln Rustin, of Whiteriver went to be with the Lord, April 17, 2010 in Scottsdale. He was 44. Lincoln was born November 19, 1965 in McNary, Arizona to the late Francis Rustin and Rebecca Ethelbah. Lincoln graduated from Sherman Indian High School in1986. he was currently a 4.0 student at the Arizona Automotive Institute for Combination Welding in Glendale, Arizona where he would have graduated in May 2010. He was a humble Christian man who never met a stranger. He always had a smile and comforting words of wisdom for all those he met. Lincoln served as a Deacon for the 7 Mile Miracle Church where he loved to serve the Lord. A kind hearted man he loved children and their innocence. Lincoln worked in various aspects for the WMAT. He was employed as a maintenance bus driver for the Whiteriver school district. He also worked for the TRS Boarding School as a dorm attendant as well as for FATCO for many years where he was able to achieve higher ranks. Lincoln loved the outdoors and everything it had to offer. He loved to hunt, fish, and camp, shoot archery and skiing. He played various sports throughout his life which included baseball, football, soccer, track and wrestling where he was state champion in 1986 in California. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and rarely missed a game. He also loved to build things for family members and his church. A devoted husband, loving father, brother, uncle and friend he will be missed by all. He is survived by wife, Annie Rustin of Whiteriver; daughter, Samantha Tom of Tucson,; 2 sons, Tanis Japheth and Anakin Jakim; 1 granddaughter, Danielle Antonio; sisters, Carol Rustin, Colleen Rustin, Polly Clawson; brother, Larry Clawson; adoptive mom, Roberta Leslie; adoptive dad, Henry Leslie; adoptive brothers Gordon Leslie and Benson Leslie; adoptive sister, Pam Kessay; godson, Renzel Boots Massey; goddaughters, Natalie Lavender, Christa Clay, Dorina Aday; father-in-law, Gene Hinton; mother-in-law, Abigail Parrer; sister-in-laws, Delanie "Mitchell" Rodriguez, Gina Hinton, Donella Hinton, Marche Hinton; many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his dad, Francis Rustin; mother, Rebecca Ethelbah; grandparents, Maurice Potter and Jane Potter. A 2 day wake will begin 10:00 A.M. Thursday, April 22, 2010 at the home of Abigail Parker in Yucca Flats. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April, 24, 2010 at the 7 Mile Miracle Church in Whiteriver. Burial will be at the Golden Gorge Cemetery
