Ethel S. Wimmer Fuller, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother died February 7, 2008 in Mesa, Arizona at the age of 96. Ethel was born on October 26, 1911 in American Fork, Utah to the late George F. and Mary Annie (Jacklin) Shelley. She grew up in American Fork and earned her teaching degree from Brigham Young Academy in Provo, Utah. On November 28, 1935, she married Lawrence Harvey Wimmer in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They made their home in Joseph City, Arizona where she resided for more than 55 years. Lawrence and Ethel built up a thriving poultry-truck gardening business in Joseph City until his death in 1970. She has resided near her children in Virginia and Arizona for the past 15 years. Ethel was married at age 75 to James Fuller of Joseph City and enjoyed his companionship for 6 years. She enjoyed her gardening, all children, teaching school, handwork, quilting and sharing the activities of her large family. Ethel has been a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for her entire life with many positions of responsibility and service. She is survived by a brother, Carl Shelley of Sandy, Utah; daughters, Edna Faye Chandler (Larry) of Falls Church, Virginia, Myrleen W. Hunt (Norman) of Silver City, New Mexico and Sharon Call (John) of Lindon, Utah; sons, Lamon S. Wimmer (LaRae) of Mesa, Arizona and Loran I. Wimmer (Katherine) of Gilbert, Arizona; daughter-in-law, Ilene Wimmer of Mesa, Arizona; 30 grandchildren and 65 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son Duane L. Wimmer. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at the Highland Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2835 E. Des Moines in Mesa, Arizona, with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held 4:30 P.M., Tuesday afternoon at the Joseph City Cemetery in Joseph City, Arizona.
