Carl Edward Williams

Carl Edward Williams passed away February 28, 2008, at the Casa de la Luz Hospice in Tucson. He was born in Everton, Arkansas on October 25, 1929 to Joseph Hugh and Lottie Young Williams and was the youngest of six children. He joined the U.S. Air Force and served from 1946 to 1949. Carl moved to Eloy and met his true love, Joyce Jean Lamb. They married in 1951 and raised four children, Ron, Rick, Dwayne and Carly. He was blessed with 12 grandchildren, Brant, Mace, Lanae, Wesley, Anya, Rikki, Willie, Rani, Brandon, Josh, Lyndsay and Kaleb. The most recent joy in his life was his only great-grandchild, Kate. Carl is survived by his children, Ron and Regina Williams, Rick Williams and Dwayne Williams, all of Tucson, and Carly and Kevin Funk of Lakeside; 12 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; 2 sisters; 2 brothers and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce, his parents, a sister and two nieces. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at Owens Mortuary in Show Low. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday evening and 1 hour prior to services at the mortuary.
