Oliver Wilson "Son" Strong Funeral Services for Oliver Wilson "Son" Strong, 64 who passed on Friday, January 23, 2010, will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2010 1:00P.M. at the Owens Livingston Mortuary, 409 North 1st Avenue; Holbrook. Interment will be at the Holbrook Cemetery. Oliver Wilson Strong, (Son or Sonnyman known by family and friends), the oldest of six children of Mary Louise Taylor was born on September 14, 1946 in Forest, Mississippi. Oliver was a graduate of from Holbrook High School; with the exception of living in Portland, Oregon and Las Vegas, Nevada for a brief period of time Oliver lived and worked in Holbrook all his life. Oliver is survived by his mother; Mother Mary Taylor of Pomona, CA; son Henry Alverez of Winslow, AZ; two sisters Perci (Almond) Brewer of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; Vivian Taylor Flagstaff, AZ; two brothers Robert and Herbert Taylor of Pomona, CA. Nieces, Amber and Lisa; Nephews, Jamal, Koury, Dandre, and Tre' Great Niece Francien and a host of extended family and friends who will miss him. He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, and his brother Maxie Joe.
