Glen Maurice Stratton, of Snowflake, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, Tuesday, October 6, 2009 in Chandler, Arizona. He was 80. Glen was born to the late William Raymond and Millie Bertha (Hunt) Stratton. Glen was well loved by all and dedicated his life to his family and the many people who surrounded him. He always made people feel like "a million bucks." Those who knew him best will probably remember his most famous quote "You know how great you is?" He is survived by is loving wife, Velma H. Stratton of Snowflake; daughters, Carolyn (Gordon) Penrod, Norma (Jeff) Schneider, Margie (Mark) Wirth, Janet (Rob) Christopher all of Mesa, Julie (Ray) McCray of Snowflake; sons, Kent (Tammy) Stratton, Phil (Becky) Stratton both of Snowflake, Mike Stratton, Paul Stratton both of Mesa and Terry (Noelle) Stratton of Taylor; 41 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Elden "Spud" (Peggy) Stratton of Snowflake; sister, Mable (LeRoss) Jones of Mesa as well as many extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by a son, Jerry Stratton and a grandson, Brandon Stratton. Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the Snowflake Main Street Chapel, 84 N. Main St., of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with a viewing one hour prior to the services. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00PM Friday, October 9, 2009 at the Owens Livingston Mortuary ~ Heritage Chapel, 84 E. 19th S., Snowflake. Interment will be held in the R.V. "Mike" Ramsay Memorial Cemetery in Snowflake.
