Thelma Mae Sears

Thelma Mae Sears, 82, of Taylor, passed away, October 25, 2007 in Lakeside. Mrs. Sears, a homemaker, was born February 20, 1925, in Fole, West Virginia. She grew up and attended school in West Virginia. Following school, she married William D. Sears on June 29, 1940 in Clay County, West Virginia. They made their home in Hallburg, West Virginia before moving to New Cumberland, Ohio. While there, Thelma worked for U.S. Sparta Ceramics as a "Tile Picker". She and William retired in 1978 and moved to Chandler, then Apache Junction and finally to the White Mountains. William receded her in death on April 8, 1997. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and playing ball with her grandkids. She is survived by 1 son, William D. (Donna) Sears Jr. of Show Low; 1 daughter, Deloras (John) Sims of Jacksonville, Arkansas; 1 sister, Halcie Cramer of Akron, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; 2 daughters, Loretta M. Brannon and Helen A. Sears; 1 son, Lester Franklin Sears. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, 11:00 AM, October 31, 2007 at the Living Faith Christian Center, 505 S. Main St. Snowflake, Arizona with a visitation 1 hour prior to the services. Interment will be Thursday November 1, 2007 at 1:00 PM Valley of the Sun Cemetery, 10940 East Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, Arizona 85248.
