Henry Salazar, of Linden, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, Monday, January 18, 2010 at his home. He was 77. Henry was born January 8, 1933 in Calipatrai, CA to the late Joe and Sarah (Sience) Salazar. After approximately one month in care facilities, Henry arrived back home, Friday, January 15, 2010. Once within the walls of the home he built, he told his family, "I feel wonderful. Like I've died and gone to Heaven." At the time of his passing his family and grandchildren were signing primary songs. During his life, Henry enjoyed coaching youth baseball, playing football, serving as a Scout Leader and dancing with his wife. He provided for his family by working as a carpenter. A marvelous sense of humor was enjoyed by many and his sweet smile will be dearly remembered. Henry was a member of the Linden Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Francine (Green) Salazar and 4 brothers. He is survived by his wife DeEtta (Sample) Salazar; his children, Paul (Gail) Salazar, Eric Salazar, Bobette (Jim) Carpenter, Roxanne (Kenneth) Broderick, Randall Martin, Cammy (Thomas) Grapp, Mindy (Jason) Matyas, Jared (Jennifer) Golly; 19 grandchildren with 2 on the way; 16 great-grandchildren with 3 on the way; 2 sisters, Sarah (Brian) Flores, Clara Salazar as well as many extended family members and friends. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00PM Sunday, January 24, 2010 at the Owens Livingston Mortuary ~ White Mountain Chapel, 320 N 9th St, Show Low and one hour prior to services at the church. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Monday, January 25, 2010 at the Show Low Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment will be in the Show Low Cemetery.
