Peggy Sue Porter, age 63, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2007 in Show Low, AZ. She was born on September 19, 1943 in Snowflake, Arizona to the late Floyd and Irene (Kay) Butler. She graduated from Snowflake High School in the early 1960's. Following her graduation she moved to the valley, living in Mesa and Chandler for several years before moving to Show Low in 1973 where she has since resided. Peggy worked as the Regional Manager for Show Low's office of The Arizona Republic for the past 13 years. From 1984 to 1993 Peggy helped coach the Girls Softball Team for Show Low High School. She was an avid Diamondback's Fan and rarely missed a game. Peggy married Corkey Tucker in 1962. On December 9, 2002 she married her current husband, Richard Porter in Las Vegas. Peggy is survived by her husband, Richard Porter of Show Low, AZ; daughter, Melissa (Loren) Covington of Lakeside; 2 sons, Grady (Desiree) Tucker of Top of the World, AZ and Stewart "Bear" Tucker of Show Low; sister, Florene Shurtz of Central, AZ; brother, Larry (Aileen) Butler of Taylor, AZ; 5 grandchildren, Justin Covington, Triston Covington, Brittany Tucker, Nicholas Littlefield and Ryan Tucker. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Betty and her former husband Corkey Tucker of Chandler, AZ. She was preceded in death by her 3 brothers, Bill Butler, Wendell Butler and Jay D. Butler. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 17, 2007 at the Show Low Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A public visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday evening at Owens Mortuary, 320 N. 9th St., Show Low, AZ. Interment will be in the Show Low Cemetery in Show Low, AZ.
