Lafey F. Polacca

Lafey F. Polacca, age 38, of Taylor, passed away February 5, 2007. He was born July 8, 1968 in San Mateo, California. His family moved to Arizona when he was an infant and he was raised and attended school in Taylor, graduating from Snowflake High School in 1986. Following high school he attended welding school and then returned to Taylor and worked in construction. His work caused him to travel to many different states. In 1992, he enlisted in the Army. He received his basic training in Fort Benning, GA and then he was deployed to Korea where he completed his enlistment. Following his military service, he returned home and went back into construction. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and hiking. Lafey is survived by his parents Lloyd and Sharon Polacca of Taylor; one niece and one nephew. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday February 9th at the Reed Hatch Memorial Cemetery in Taylor. There will be a visitation from 6-8:00 P.M. Thursday Feb. 8th at Owens Mortuary in Snowflake.
