Mildred Palmer

Mildred "Midge" Tanner Palmer, born August 12, 1918 in Joseph City, Arizona, passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2007 at The Carriage House in Snowflake. Midge married Dean H. Palmer in the Mesa Arizona Temple on September 19, 1939. They made their home in Taylor where they raised their 6 children. She loved playing the piano and organ and played for church services, choirs & funerals for most of her years living in Taylor. Midge served in the Relief Society and Stake Primary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Midge along with her husband Dean went on a mission for the church on the Navajo Reservation. In 1980 she retired from the Forest Service and she moved to Mesa, then in 1996 she moved to Show Low. She is survived by 2 daughters, Judith (Howard) Hansen of Show Low and Edith (Bruce) Stott of Choteau, MT; 3 sons, Rodney D. (Mary Joyce) of Chandler, P. Terry (Diane) of Syracuse, UT, and Darryl H. (Debra) of Gilbert; 38 grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean H.; 1 son, L. Gary; as well as her parents Marion Lyman & Willie Belle (Evans) Tanner; 2 brothers and 2 sisters. A visitation will be held from 6-8 Friday, November 9, 2007 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Taylor Stake Center Relief Society Room. Services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, November 10, 2007 at the Taylor Stake Center with a visitation from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. Interment will be at the Reed Hatch Memorial Cemetery, Taylor, Arizona.
