Mary Dell Niece

Mary Dell Niece (Nana) peacefully departed this life, Sunday May 10, 2009 at Hospice Compassus in Lakeside, Arizona. She left with her daughters at her side and was met by her loving husband Oscar. Mary was born August 10, 1927 in Coolidge, Kansas to Gladys and Jeffie Hoover. She married Oscar L. Niece in Syracuse, Kansas September 16, 1945. To this union were born two daughters, Mary Lee and Margie Jewell. Mary and Oscar lived in Bristol, Colorado until they fell in love with Lake Powell and moved to Page, Arizona. Mary loved to crochet, read, baking pies and cakes for birthdays and holidays and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Mary is survived by daughters; Mary Lee (H.R.) Chlarson of Eagar, Arizona and Margie Binder of Page, Arizona; grandchildren, Kim (Brian) Holman of Grand Junction, CO, Kerry (Maria) Binder of Mesquite, NV, Shelly (Jabe) Warner of Page, AZ, Chelsea (Chad) Hendrickson of Page, AZ, Courtney Harris of Page, AZ, Jerry (Tiffany) Chlarson of Provo, UT, Shane (Cathy) Chlarson of Mesa, AZ and Michelle Chlarson of Virginia Beach, VA; brothers, Gail (Marie) Hoover and Jr. Hoover of Holly, CO. She was blessed to have 19 great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Oscar; parents, Gladys and Jeffie Hoover; sisters, Hazel Williams, Bernice Cave and Beatrice Ratledge; grand-daughter, Susan Beyer. Services will be 11:00 A.M. August 10, 2009 at the Faith Bible Chapel. Inurnment will be at the Page Cemetery following the services. All who wish to attend are welcome. We are comforted in knowing she is at peace in the arms of our Lord and her Heavenly family.
