Stephen Patrick Murphy

Steve Murphy, 50 of Show Low, Arizona passed away October 1, 2008 after a courageous lifelong battle with heart disease. He was a loving husband, father, mentor and coach. He was a very loved and respected man. He loved nothing more than to be coaching and teaching the kids. His love was basketball and he always had a positive effect on the kids he was coaching. He was well know in the community and was an inspiration to everyone he was around. He always had a smile on his face and there will never be a day when he is not thought about. We love you and you will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife of 23 years; Marla, sons, Forrest and his girlfriend Morgan Wethington, Brian and his girlfriend Sarah Butler and Jordan and his fiancée Rachael Marin; 7 sisters; Muriel "Mo" (Joe) Caparella, Barbara Hoover, Monica (Ken) Miller, Patricia "Patty" Murphy, Mary (Rich) Ricci, Diana "Dee Dee" (Gary) Simpson, Beth (Bill) Murray; 4 brothers; Phillip "Buddy" (Tracy) Murphy, Robert "Robbie" (Jackie) Murphy, Kevin Murphy, Raymond (Marta) Murphy as well as 25 nephews & nieces; 14 great nephews & nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; John and Eleanor; sister, Deborah; brother, Jimmy. A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 8, 2008 from 5-7 at Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th Street, Show Low, Arizona. Memorial Services will be held 3:00 P.M. Thursday, October 9, 2008 at the Show Low High School Auditorium.
