Leatha Olivia Mortenson, age 92, passed away April 26, 2007 in Taylor. She was born in Wilburton, Oklahoma and moved to Arizona in the early 1920's. She graduated from Bisbee high school the only year diplomas were issued on copper sheets. She married her sweetheart, Oral R. Mortenson on March 19, 1937 in Bisbee. She later worked at Fort Huachuca as a clerk for 18 years. She moved to Texas for a short time after her husband passed away in 1999 and then moved to Taylor five years ago. Leatha is survived by two sons, Duane Mortenson of Benson and Les (LouAnn) Mortenson of Taylor; two daughters, Audrey (Carl) Rohwer of Leander, Texas and Marilyn (Tom) Allaire of Harper, Oregon; a daughter-in-law, Linda Mortenson of Ponchatoma, Louisiana; 17 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren and two brothers, Archie Edge of Coolidge and Forest Edge of Oklahoma City, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oral; two sons, Glen and Andrew; and by her siblings, Leslie Edge, Joel Edge, Bob Edge, Paul Edge, David Edge, Betty Edge and Wilma Boehm
