Beatrice continued past the age of 90 to play the organ at First Baptist Church of Show Low and gave piano lessons to many children and adults, whom she adored, throughout the community. She is survived by: her son, Robert Forteson of Show Low; step-daughter, Dolores Staton of Texas; 2 sisters: Thelma Collins of California, Marian Reed of Oklahoma; and by many grateful former students and friends throughout the White Mountains and across the country.
