Charline Lupe, age 76, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2007 in Whiteriver, Arizona. She was born November 2, 1930, in San Carlos, AZ where she grew up and attended school. Following school she worked as a dietician aide at St. Mary's hospital in Tucson. She then returned to San Carlos and worked as a cook and waitress. In 1953 she married Callis Lupe. His military service took them to Germany and Colorado. They then moved back to San Carlos Arizona and Charline then went to work as a Counselor, she also worked as a radio announcer for KIKO in Globe. They moved to Whiteriver in 1975, where she worked as a Counselor. In 1983 Mrs. Lupe retired. She loved to sew and made many Camp Dresses and Blankets. She was also a collector of Arts & Crafts and Indian Jewelry. Charline is survived by her husband, Callis Lupe of Whiteriver; daughters, Josephine Jones of McNary, Trudy Lupe of Seven Mile, Carla Lupe of Whiteriver and Verlene Harvey of McNary; sons, Gerald Lupe of Whiteriver, Bruce Lupe of McNary and Howard Lupe of Whiteriver; sister, Velma Stevens of Texas; brothers, Ernest Whitehead of Globe and Donnie Dosela of San Carlos; 14 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Ann Lupe Johnson. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 4, 2007 at the San Carlos Miracle Church. A two-night wake will begin at 10:00 A.M. Friday, March 2, 2007 at the family's home in Whiteriver.
