Claire Marie Ludowe

Claire Marie Malette Ludowe, 79 of Pinetop, Arizona passed away January 3, 2007 at her home. Mrs. Ludowe, a registered nurse, was born March 6, 1927 in Windsor, Ontario Canada. She grew up and attended school in Windsor, graduating from St. Mary's Academy. Following high school Claire attended the University of Western Ontario, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 1949. In that same year she met George Ludowe, they were married July 3, 1951 in Windsor. They made their home in Detroit, where she was a Nursing Instructor at Beaumont Hospital. They lived there many years, and it was there that they started their family. They later moved to Rochester Hills, Michigan where Claire continued her nursing career. Claire retired in 1982. Upon her husband's retirement they moved to Pinetop, Arizona. Claire is survived by her husband George of Pinetop, her children Karen (Gary) Preston of Pinetop, Pamela (Randy) Ludowe-Narita of Waterford, Michigan, Debra Ludowe of Los Angeles, California, Stephanie (Bernard) Ludowe-Olson of Brookfield Illinois; sisters, Sister Suzanne Malette- SHJM of Windsor, Ontario and Madeleine Thomson of Fruitvale, British Columbia; 2 grandchildren Christopher Ludowe-Narita and Heather Marie Ludowe-Smith, Memorial contributions may be directed to RTA Hospice and Palliative Care 1789 W. Commerce Dr., Lakeside, Arizona 85929 Memorial Services will be held in Windsor, Ontario at a later date.
