Raymond T. Lacy

Owens Mortuary Raymond T. Lacy, 69 of Clay Springs, went home to be with the Lord on July 6, 2006. Born in McKinney, Texas, his family moved to Safford when Ray was only 4 years old. He was raised and went to school in Avondale, AZ, graduating from Litchfield High School in 1954. Following school, he enlisted in the Air Force and served his country for 20 years, retiring in 1974. He served in the Vietnam War. In 1955 he married his childhood friend, Anna Toon. Following their marriage, they lived in many places as Ray traveled in the military. Following retirement, Ray did many things; he owned a gun shop, worked for the City of Show Low in maintenance and was also a Pastor for The Living Faith Christian Center in Snowflake. Ray is survived by his wife, Anna B. Lacy of Clay Springs; sons Raymond Lacy, Jr. of Goodyear, Joe Lacy of Show Low, Paul Lacy of Linden, and Timothy Lacy of Germany; daughters Joy Bennett of Clay Springs, and Rebecca Harvey of Mansfield, PA; 2 brothers Truitt Buckley of Tigg, TX, and Joe Lacy of Porter, TX; a sister Mary Marsillio of Maine; 19 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at 10:00 am at The Living Faith Christian Center in Snowflake. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
