Dan Koury

John D. "Dan" Koury, 69, passed away the morning of December 7, 2006. A lifelong educator and native Arizonan, Dan loved nothing more than his family, friends and students. He leaves behind his loving wife Mary, as well as his six beloved children and their families, Stephen (Necia), Robert "Rusty", Kerri, Kirk, Danny, and Jeff (Lindsey). He is survived by his mother, Rita Jones, and his brothers Joe and Tom Koury and David Jones. He also leaves behind one granddaughter, Sage, the light of his life. A viewing will be held at Owens Mortuary in Holbrook on Sunday at 5:30 pm, followed by a rosary at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Holbrook at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:30 pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe. Donations may be made in his honor to the Holbrook Unified School District Performing Arts Auditorium.
