Velton Stanford Kimbrough

Velton Stanford Kimbrough died peacefully Friday afternoon, November 21, 2008 at RTA Hospice and Palliative Care in Lakeside, Arizona with his wife of 61 years at his side. Velton was born on October 16, 1926 in Prescott, Arkansas to the late Herman Alexander and Hazel (Sneed) Kimbrough. The WWII veteran moved to Arizona from New Mexico in 1976 and retired as a masonry machine operator. Velton is survived by: his wife, Esther Louise nee Greene of Lakeside, Arizona; 3 sons: Ronald Kimbrough (Jeanette) of Diamond Bar, California, Robert Kimbrough (Mary) of Show Low, Arizona, Tommy Kimbrough (Jeanette) of Globe, Arizona; sister, Gene Sutton (Edmond) of Hisperia, California; 6 grandchildren: Christy Ray (Danny), Lori Roarke, Keith Kimbrough, Clayton Kimbrough, Tyler Kimbrough, Aaron Kimbrough and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lorraine Ramsey. Private family services will be held at a later date.
