Milo Farnsworth Kartchner died early Saturday morning, January 17, 2009 at his home in Overgaard, Arizona with his wife and 1 of his daughters at is side. He was 95 years old. Milo was born on September 27, 1913 in Blanding, Utah to the late John Howard and Ida Belle (Farnsworth) Kartchner. In his younger years he did live quite some time in the Mexican Colonies in Mexico. He moved to Arizona more than 60 years ago and had worked serveral years as a prison guard for the State of Arizona. Milo is survived by: his wife, Matilda (Pulliam) Kartchner of Overgaard, Arizona; 4 children: Lela Morrison of Overgaard, Arizona, Glen Kartchner (Liz) of Stockton, Utah, Glenda Mosteller (Dan) of Tooele, Utah, Gene Kartchner (Tammy) of West Jordan, Utah; 19 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren. Milo was preceded in death by: his 2 sisters: Mae Peterson, Thelma Hassell; 3 brothers: George Kartchner, Leith Kartchner and Howard Kartchner; great-granddaughter, Casey. Funeral Services will be held 10:00AM Thursday, January 22, 2009 at the Heber Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with a viewing held 1 hour prior to services. The interment will follow at the Heber Cemetery in Heber, Arizona.
