Orrin William Behler Kanz died Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at his home in Show Low, Arizona following a lengthy illness. He was 79. Orrin was born on September 1, 1928 in Springfield, Massachusetts to the late John T. and Margarete (Groat) Kanz. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in WWII as well as, The Korean War. After receiving his honorable discharge from the military, Orrin worked as an Extrudor Operator for the company that manufactured Bayer Aspirin and All Laundry Detergent. He moved to Arizona 22 years ago from his native Massachusetts. He will be laid to rest with his wife, Ann Kanz, at the Show Low Cemetery, where Military Honors will be rendered. He will be greatly missed by those whom he loved most. He is survived by 2 daughters and 2 sons; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Kanz in October of 2007; also preceded in death by 1 son & 1 daughter. Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 12, 2008 at the Show Low Cemetery.
