Rene Jones

Rene' Jones, 43 of Taylor, passed away August 1, 2006 in Taylor. Mrs. Jones, a medical assistant at Pineview Behavioral Health Center in Show Low, was born August 29, 1962 in Phoenix. She grew up in Tempe and attended Tempe High School. Following High School she moved to Show Low and began working as a waitress at Village Inn. It was there that she met, and later married Eremon Jones. Following their marriage, they made their home in Taylor. She enjoyed hiking, beadwork and spending time with her grandchildren. She played the clarinet and her family was first in her life. She had many people in the 12-step programs of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous, whom she also considered her family. Rene' is survived by her husband, Eremon Jones of Taylor; a daughter Amy M. Jones of Phoenix; 4 sons, Kevin C. of Safford, Darin K. of Taylor, Derek W. of Taylor, and Cory O. of Snowflake; her father Mike Hjalmarson, Sr. of Houston, TX; maternal grandmother Nadine M. Svob of Tempe; 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. There will be a private memorial service held by the family. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Missionary Fund of the Taylor 5th Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 309 W. Willow, Taylor, AZ 85939. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
