Christopher Ryan Jones

Christopher Ryan "Chris" Jones, 27, of Show Low, passed away, April 15, 2007 in Show Low. Chris, a video production technician for Channel 4 T.V., was born January 1, 1980 in Zanesville, Ohio. His family moved to Valencia, CA when he was 3. He grew up and attended school there, graduating from Saugus High School in 1998. Following high school, he attended College of the Canyons, in Valencia, where he studied computer graphics. His family moved to Show Low in 1999 and Chris followed in 2002. He attended NPC and continued his studies in computer graphics and went to work for Channel 4 T.V. In 2004 he met JodiAnn Smith while working with the television station, at the Show Low Public Library, producing a television birthday celebration for Dr. Suess. They married December 18, 2004. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America where he attained his Arrow of Light award and attained the rank of Life Scout. He was a poet and an artist and won many literary awards. He loved rock climbing, skiing, motorcycles and being outdoors. He received an Arizona Parks and Recreation Award for his program, "Destination Recreation", which he produced. He also received the "Be There" Award from the City of Show Low. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Linden Hills Family Fellowship and he loved the Lord. He is survived by his wife, Jodi Jones of Show Low; daughter, Abigail JoLynn of Show Low; parents, Larry and Janice Jones of Show Low; brother, Michael Jones of Show Low and maternal grandparents, Jack and Minnie Steele of Hixson, Tennessee. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 12, 2007 at First Baptist Church, 700 N. Central, Show Low; with a reception to follow.
