Loving Father and Granddad David Edward Johnson, Sr., age 58, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2008 in Show Low, AZ. David was born December 13, 1949 in Knoxville, TN to the late Euless and Gladys (Jennings) Johnson. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving from 1968-1972 in the US Marine Corps. David had a huge heart and gentle soul, but was also a fighter. He left an impression on anyone he ever met, and was willing to give you the shirt off his back. He was a teacher to all and was very much needed. A very proud person, David lived his life to the fullest and with no regrets. He was an avid outdoorsman and a very creative and artistic person. He was very much loved and will be greatly missed by all that had the privilege to meet him. He is survived by two daughters, Bianca (Fiancé Jason Adkins) of Mesa, AZ and Amanda (Moises Rivera,Jr.) of Show Low; son, David (Doris Collinswoth) Johnson, Jr. of Show Low; grandchildren; Sydney, JP, Zoe, Reese, Shelby, Cameron, Tyler, Piper and Ryilee; brother, Kenneth (Jackie) Johnson of Powell, TN; friends, Buddy Collinsworth and Ned Bell both of Show Low, and Kenneth Adkins of Mesa, AZ; also many extended family members and friends. A graveside service will be held 3:00PM Friday October 17, 2008 at the Show Low Cemetery.
