Mary Glynn Holder Hodges

Mary Glynn Holder Hodges, 77 of Show Low, Arizona passed away early Tuesday morning after a long battle with cancer. She was born on April 17, 1931 in Archer City, Texas. On December 20, 1949 in Weatherford, Texas she married Perry L. Hodges, whom precedes her in death. Mary and Perry were active members of the Gideon's since the early 1970's and founding members of Shiloh Baptist Church. Following the death of her beloved husband, Mary was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church for 12 years where she served as Deaconess and teacher. Mary made her home in Show Low, Arizona for the past 27 years where she owned the Thunderbird Motel. Mary is survived by her two daughters, Sherry Ann Gould of Ft. Morgan, CO and Terry Lynn Skillin of Show Low, AZ; two sisters and five brothers, Pat Savage of Weatherford, TX, LaRae Linville of Everman, TX, Jerry Holder, Jimmy Holder both of Weatherford, TX and Sonny Holder of Eliasville, TX; seven grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Gideon's. Funeral Services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Saturday, August 23, 2008 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Show Low with a viewing from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday evening at Owens-Livingston Mortuary, 320 N. 9th Street, Show Low, Arizona and one-hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Show Low Cemetery immediately following services.
