Lavon Edward "Vern" Hill, of Lakeside, passed away August 29, 2009 at his home. He was 72. Vern was born March 3, 1937 in Price, Utah to the late Kermit & Violet (King) Hill. An avid collector of all things, Vern loved guns, dancing, playing with motorcycles, his breakfast at Darbi's café, but mostly his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter, Yvonne Hill of Show Low, AZ; 3 sons; Leon Hill of Lakeside, AZ, Jeremy (Debra) Hill of Roseville, CA, Eddy Hill of Pinetop, AZ; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild (that is on the way); 2 brothers; Kenny Hill of Fairdealing, MO and Bobby Hill of Doniphan, MO; 3 sisters: Connie (Loyd) Gilmore of Cahokia, IL, Lana (Jerry) Baugus of Fairdealing, MO and Wanda (James) Canada of Brawley, CA: as well as many numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Chris Hill. Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Monday September 7, 2009 at Wagon Wheel Ranch (also known as the Varnel Ranch) located at Wagon Wheel Rd & the 260 in Wagon Wheel, Arizona.
