Theda Jane Hathaway

Theda Jane Hathaway, 95, of Show Low, passed away, July 28, 2007 in Vernon. Mrs. Hathaway, a homemaker, was born December 25, 1911 in New Weston, Ohio; the daughter of John Ernest and Edna Mabel (Thompson) Gibbons. She grew up and attended school in Ohio. Following high school she married Allen Hathaway, on April 4, 1931 in Greenwille, Ohio. In 1944 they moved to San Diego, they then relocated to Palm Springs in 1946 where they remained until coming to Show Low in 2000. Theda loved being with her family, watching baseball and Nascar as well as vacationing in the mountains. She is preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Allen Hathaway in 2003; a daughter Barbara Thomas in 1995 as well as a granddaughter, Shelly Hathaway in 1990. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Fred and Marlene Hathaway; Bill and Sherry Hathaway, all of Show Low, as well as 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Private services will be held at a later date.
