Albert Dell Hatch, age 84, passed away peacefully April 16, 2008 in Phoenix, AZ. Albert was born January 17, 1924 in Woodruff, AZ to the late Albert and Zina (Brinkerhoff) Hatch. He graduated from Snowflake High School. Following school Albert served in Germany during WWII for the US Army. After the war, he attended the Arizona State College (now ASU) in Tempe. Albert drove a truck for Whiting Brothers, until he had an accident in which he was severely burned. In 1978 he moved from Woodruff to Mesa where he then went to work for the Arizona Railroad Company. Albert then moved from Mesa back to Woodruff, where he resided, until he was unable to care for himself. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in various callings, including the Bishopric for the Woodruff Ward and he was known as a great "Sunday School Teacher". Albert loved all kinds of music and will be greatly missed by all. He is survived by 3 sons, Neil (Dayanne) Hatch of Simi Valley, CA, Samuel Hatch of Payson, AZ, Joe Hatch of Mesa, AZ; a daughter, Dale (Ray) Parrott of Mesa, AZ; 11 grandchildren and 71/2 great-grandchildren; brother, Orland; 4 sisters, Grace, Aleen, Janel, Vyrla. Albert was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Beverly, of 2 weeks old ; as well as 7 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral Services will be Monday, April 21, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the Woodruff Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Woodruff, AZ with a visitation beginning at 12 Noon. Interment will be at the Woodruff Cemetery.
