Joy Herbold Harding

December 27, 1935 — September 2, 2008

Joy Herbold Harding, age 72, passed away at home after a long battle with cancer. Joy was married to Russ Harding for over 52 years. Joy was mother to Michael Harding (Mary) of Pinetop, and grandmother to Rob and Carrie Harding of Mesa, Arizona. Joy was born December 27, 1935 in Denver, CO, to Robert J. & Flavia (Long) Herbold. She attended the University of Denver. Joy and Russ have been long-time business owners in Show Low, building the Camp Town Mobile Home Park. She belonged to the Women's Club for over 30 years. In the 1980's she was also a City Council-woman and the first female Mayor for the City of Show Low. Funeral Services will be Sunday, September 7, 2008 beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Owens Livingston Mortuary White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th Street, Show Low. A small graveside service will be held at the Show Low Cemetery immediately following for those who would like to attend. A luncheon will be held at 12:00 Noon at the home of Russell & Joy Harding, 700 E. Whipple, Show Low, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mayo Clinic Department of Development, 13400 E. Shea Blvd, Scottsdale, Arizona 85259. Be sure to include on the memo line of your check: in Memory of Joy H. Harding for Mayo Clinic Cancer Research.
