Randy Floyd Ham found peace in the arms of the Lord when he died on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at his Show Low, Arizona home, and was finally able to leave his worldly troubles behind. He was 47 years old. Randy was born on March 29, 1962 in Phoenix, Arizona to Herbert Charles and Barbara Jean (Merrill) Ham, Sr. He was a Class of 1980 graduate of Washington High School in Phoenix. The following year, in 1981, Randy enlisted in The United States Army and served overseas in Germany intil he received his honorable discharge in 1983. Following his military service, he worked as an electrician for Kearney Electric, in Phoenix, for 3 years. Randy was very gifted in that occupation and was even able to wire his parents' home over the years. He was naturally a quiet man and found great joy and comfort through music; he enjoyed listening to all types. Randy enjoyed the beauty of the great out-of-doors and was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed staying in excellent physical shape by working out regularly. Randy was a born-again christian and had a personal relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a member of New Hope Christian Fellowship in Show Low, and many there will miss his mild ways, manners and friendship. Randy is survived by his parents: Herb, Sr. and Barbara Ham of Show Low, Arizona; sister, Lynn Spire (Kari) of Avondale, Arizona; 2 brothers: Herb Ham, Jr. (Myrna Garcia-Ham) of Mesa, Arizona, Rodney Ham of Show Low, Arizona; aunts and uncles: Janet Merrill, Winifred Bolen (Sank), Frances Bourne, Kathy Woods (Tim), Clarence Hancock; 13 nieces and nephews and he is also survived by 4 grand-nephews. A memorial service for Randy will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th Street in Show Low, where Pastor Tom Brown of New Hope Christian Fellowship will officiate.
