Policarpio "Paul" Gonzales, 74, passed away March 3, 2009 in Holbrook, Arizona. He was born January 26, 1935 in Brackettville, Texas to Jesus Gonzales and Sara Flores; 1 of 13 children. Paul served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Era. He moved to Arizona in 1962 and married Nora Baldonado on December 21, 1964. He retired from APS Cholla Power Plant. He had a great sense of humor, always making others laugh. Paul was a giving person who will be greatly missed. Dad was well known for his love of the Dallas Cowboys and for his cartoon drawings. Paul & Nora had 6 children; Lorena Valenzuela, Julie Arnold, Beatrice (Robert) Castro, Paul Jr. (Robin) Gonzales, Dolores (Michael) Angus and Toni Gonzales; 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; 7 brothers & sisters; Frances, Ramona, Esther, Olivia, Jane, Jesus "Bo" and Dan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora; 5 brothers & sisters; Ofelia, Carmen, Carlos, Joe & Felix. A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 212 E. Arizona Ave., Holbrook, Arizona. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
