Frank B. Gerola, of Mesa, Arizona, died in the early morning hours of Saturday, August 2, 2008 at the Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center in Show Low, Arizona with his loving wife at his side. He was 77. Frank was born on July 25, 1931 in the old, historic, mining town of Jerome, Arizona to the late Francisco Antonio and Lucy (Romero) Gerola. He has lived in Arizona his entire life and was a veteran of The United States Armed Forces. Throughout his life he worked as a machinist and welder in Arizona's famous copper mines. He is survived by his wife, Ramona Baeza Gerola of Mesa, Arizona and their children and grandchildren. The Recitation of the Rosary will be 9:00 A.M, Friday, August 8, 2008 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 490 W. Main Street in Superior, Arizona. The Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be at Superior's Fairview Cemetery. Local arrangements are being cared for by Owens Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel.
