Inez Hatch Gardner, age 92, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2006 in Mesa, Arizona. She was born in Woodruff, Arizona on March 19, 1914 to Albert & Zina (Brinkerhoff) Hatch. Inez was a lifetime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and spent many years as an officer or teacher in the organizations of the church. She had a hobby of making hand-sewn quilts and has made many of them to give away to her children and grandchildren. Inez is survived by her husband, Melvin Gardner; four children, Lorraine G. Smith, Melvin E. Gardner, Larry M. Gardner and Carwin D. Gardner; 21 Grandsons, 9 Granddaughters, 95 Great Grandchildren and 15 Great Great Grandchildren; she is also survived by her 2 brothers, Dell A. Hatch and Orland R. Hatch; 4 sisters, Grace H. Pulsipher, Aleen H. Scorse, Janell H. Fergusen and Vyrla H. Cook. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Zina Lois G. Rogers. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 6, 2007 at the Woodruff Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Olive Ward Building of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 451 E. 2nd Ave. Mesa, AZ and one-hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Woodruff Cemetery.
