Mary Tafoya Gallegos

Mary Tafoya Gallegos, age 85, passed away peacefully at her home in Holbrook on Wednesday August 13, 2008 surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 28, 1923 in San Fidel, New Meciso to the late Frank M. and Isabelita Vallejos Tafoya. Mary was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother who dearly loved her family and her Lord. She had a strong character, with a positive and encouraging attitude. Mary had a "Heart of Gold". Mary is survived by her 6 children; Ernest Molina of Winslow, Elizabeth Sample of Holbrook, George West of Florida, Pauline Powell of North Carolina, Eleanor Herrera of Tucson and Juan E. Gallegos of Las Crucis, New Mexico; 4 brothers; Florentino Tafoya, Andy Tafoya, Lala Vigil and Mody Trujillo; 20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at The First Southern Baptist Church, 360 First Ave., Holbrook, Arizona. Inurnment will be at the Winslow Cemetery.
