Ralph Rodero Fernandez

Ralph Rodero Fernandez died Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Serenity Hospice in Phoenix, Arizona of complications from a fall that occured in January. He was 81. Ralph was born on October 12, 1926 in Navajo, New Mexico to the late Rudolfo and Lucia (Rodero) Fernandez. Ralph moved to Arizona 74 years ago from his native New Mexico and has lived in The White Mountains for most of that time. He married the former Virginia Gonzales on November 1, 1947 in McNary, Arizona. Ralph worked for Southwest Forest Industries in McNary for 45 years, retiring as a quality controller several years ago. Ralph is survived by his wife, Virginia "Virgie" Fernandez of Pinetop, Arizona; 2 daughters: Rebecca DelAo of Pinetop, Arizona, Christine "Chris" McCarley of Coolidge, Arizona; 1 sister, Mary Flores of Pinetop, Arizona; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. The Rosary Service will be 7:00 P.M., Monday, March 17, 2008 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 1 block north of Highway 260 in McNary, Arizona. The Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at the church and Inurnment will follow at the Lakeside Cemetery. Arrangements are being cared for by Owens - Livingston Mortuary of Show Low, Arizona.
